The electricity box camera is neutral in appearance, shielding the camera from view and allowing it to be placed at the right height to see in under caps and hoods, for example. It is the first in a range of products developed by CameraVision since the 1980s in response to the shortcomings of cameras positioned high up. The difference in how identifiable subjects are in the pictures is shown below.
The lens of the electricity box camera gives a ~80° angle of view and is available in metal or plastic.
